Scholarships & Most Improved Awards for our Youth

Our club provides academic scholarships to graduating seniors from each of our High Schools: South Tahoe High School, George Whittell High School and Mt. Tallac High School. A committee evaluates the applications.  Criteria for the evaluation includes:

^
financial need;
^
academics;
^
employment;
^
extra curricular activities;
^
letters of recommendation;
^
the effort the student has made in life to be the person they have become as evidenced by the essay they submit.

We also recognize students in the 8th Grade and 12th Grade who school staff identify as Most Improved due to their hard work. SITS also recognizes an LTCC Scholarship Recipient. Our club is able to provide these recognitions to celebrate students with scholarships as well as support numerous community groups every year due to our annual fundraisers including the 2023 Mad Hatter Tea Party, Online Auction and vacation raffles. Thank you to all the donors and our Club Sponsors : Coldwell Banker Select Real Estate – Kim Valverde; Carson Welding, Inc.; Law Office of Joseph W.
