Strengthening and enhancing the lives of women and youth in our community and the world.

“Soroptimist” is a coined term which means, “Best for Women.” Soroptimist International of Tahoe Sierra was chartered on Friday, March 4, 1977. Our club is part of the Sierra Nevada Region, which is one of seven regions under the direction of Soroptimist International of the Americas. The mission statement of Soroptimist International of Tahoe Sierra is to “Strengthen and enhance the lives of women and youth in our community and the world.” With our established mission in mind, we participate in programs at our local level based on the specific needs of our community. In addition, our club is mindful of the need to enhance the lives of women and youth throughout the world.

      Join us on this very special occasion as we celebrate the youth in our community who have worked hard to achieve their goals. We celebrate many this year through our scholarship program as they set new goals for the coming years. This is a most special morning and we look forward to it each and every year.
