What a terrific evening with about 60 Soroptimist members from both SISLT and SITS at the Vahalla and Boat House properties. Chautauqua began in the late 19th century and spread throughout the country. It is the portrayal of actual people in history and here in Lake Tahoe that included presentations by Anna Baldwin (Marilyn Long), Yank Clement (Lee Vestal), Hank Monk (Diane L. Johnson), Warren Upson (Kim Copel) and Mr. Mark Twain himself (McAvoy Layne). We enjoyed a beautiful dining experience first at the great hall of Vahalla and then with the backdrop of Lake Tahoe itself, laughed and learned about the history of our region in the Boat House. What a delightful night!
