Kathy started working for CASA El Dorado, in December of 2012. She is very determined to help us increase funding, so that we can help more abused and neglected children find a safe and permanent home. Her goal is to bring in sufficient funding to enable us to train more advocates and ultimately eliminate the wait-list, as she believes that no child should ever have to wait for this critical assistance. Kathy enjoys serving the needs of children; she has done so since her own children started attending school 12 years ago. From fundraising for schools, to her more recent capacity as Director of Development for nonprofit P.A.R.T.Y. (Prevent Alcohol and Risk Related Trauma in Youth), Kathy has been focused on improving the lives of children in our community. Kathy’s personal mission is to broaden awareness of CASA El Dorado and remind all community members that in these economic times and the lack of government funding, we must take responsibility for serving these children. Kathy’s visit today was also to thank SITS for their continued support of CASA both financially and with advocates for all of “our” kids.
