Monetary award to eligible young women ages 14 - 17 years of age who have a passion for volunteerism, supporting women and/or children in some capacity. There are no restrictions on the type of activity.

Applications are available for young women (ages 14 to 17) to apply for the SI Tahoe Sierra and SI South Lake Tahoe Soroptimist Clubs' Violet Richardson Awards. The two clubs work together in requesting applications from active volunteers. However, each club will have there own recipient, for an individual award. One application is all that is needed to apply for either club's award.

Pamphlet applications are available at South Tahoe High School, SLT Library, George Whittell High School, Zephyr Cove Library, and El Dorado County Library.

Monetary award for women who are heads of households, returning to school or work and need financial support or assistance. This is a signature project that begins at the local club level, allowing winners to advance to regional and federation levels.

Our area clubs, SI Tahoe Sierra and SI South Lake Tahoe work together in promoting and choosing applicants for each club's Women's Opportunity Awards.
